Newcastle United Foundation – Annual Awards Dinner

Andy Bennison Blog

Inter-vention are proud sponsors of the Newcastle United Foundation, and on Tuesday 1st November, we attended the Annual Awards Dinner alongside Newcastle United Manager Rafa Benitez and first team players.

Dressed in dinner jackets and ball dresses, we made our way to St James’ Park to join 400 people celebrate and award the achievements of staff, families and young people.

Our very own Suzanne Clarke, Director of Inter-vention had the privilege of awarding Jamie Foster with the Disabled Player of the Year award – he is such an inspiration to the visually impaired football players and is well on his way to England!!

The evening raised a record £53,000 – the club said it is the largest total the charity has raised through a fundraising dinner.

We will continue to support such a fantastic cause!!

A bit about the Foundation:

Newcastle United Foundation works with almost 50,000 children, young people and families across Newcastle, Gateshead, North Tyneside and Northumberland each year.
