Lead Project Manager

Role

  • Reporting to the Head of Programme Delivery with strong relationship with the Divisional Sponsors, this role provides day-to-day project management and coordination of activities within each phase of the programme

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong connections with Workstream Leads and Specialist Leads, supporting and coaching them in the development of workstream-level plans, ensuring the outputs are robust and realistic
  • Create and maintain consolidated project-level plans, ensuring consistency
  • Support relevant Specialist Leads and external partners to ensure agreed change management strategies are translated into clearly understood activities
  • Ensure effective mechanisms are in place to track and monitor operational progress
  • Support Workstream and Specialist teams in providing active input and clear progress reporting
  • Work with Head of Programme Delivery to review estimates of resource and cost required to deliver the scope
  • Proactively identify dependencies, constraints, risks or limitations likely to affect success
  • Identify, resolve or escalate issues and conflicts within the workstream team(s)
  • Populate required project documentation in accordance with agreed Programme Support approaches and templates

Skills

  • Proven project management experience within business change or transformation
  • Ability to work in a Matrix environment with changing requirements and different personalities
  • Confidence managing and working with various stakeholders, workstreams and specialists
  • Risk and issue management, providing recommendations
  • Prioritisation, time management and organisation skills
  • Process review and improvement
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • It would suit someone who is a fast learner, self-motivator and team player
