Programme Support Manager (PMO)

Role

  • Reporting directly to the Programme Director, you would establish and lead the programme support office, ensuring mechanisms are in place and continuously improved to support delivery of the programme

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for development and continued refinement of key governance policies within the programme covering, but not limited to, resource allocation, quality management, change control, financial management
  • Develop and execute a benefits tracking mechanism, summarising benefits position within programme reporting including consideration of associated costs
  • Work with Central Finance team (and relevant stakeholders influencing individual areas of spend) to maintain the budget, both actual spend and future provisions)
  • Working with Head of Programme Delivery to identify and develop objective metrics and criteria to measure progress of the project against key criteria
  • Develop effective, collaborative relationship with individual Workstreams, Specialist teams and Project Managers
  • Provide practical support with the maintenance of governance logs, including risks/issues and prepare relevant consolidated status reporting

Skills

  • Previous experience in programme support or similar (PMO)
  • Process review, improvement and implementation
  • Development and refinement of key governance policies – resource allocation, budget management and change control
  • Ability to provide support across different workstreams and business areas
  • Effective tracking and reporting experience against performance and milestones
  • Any experience with ERP deployments or transformation is highly desirable
